Recorded in May 2006, this new release showcases the continuing development of one of New York City’s most original jazz piano trios. These guys swing with a natural authority, but their influences display a comfortable diversity. In their insightful, melodic original compositions, Paster, Ryan and Hall incorporate R&B, funk and Latin grooves fluently. Plus, they've included three arrangements of standards: classic favorites "Sweet and Lovely," and "East of the Sun” and Cole Porter’s seldom heard gem "Everything I Love.” True to form, this recording features clarion sonic-fidelity, inspired performances and grooves guaranteed to make you feel good.  Renowned tenor saxophonist Chris Cheek contributes his unique lyricism to three tracks.
